The Running Stage

The Running Stage is at the heart of the Expo. This year our MC's are Frank Greally and Niamh Tallon, founder of Her Sport. This year's Running Stage promises to be a non-stop source of entertainment and information over the two days of the Expo.

Frank Greally

Frank founded Irish Runner in 1981. Frank works for Athletics Ireland promoting The Daily Mile in primary schools all over Ireland. He also helps to promote the annual Remembrance Run 5km - walk or run event (12th November 2023, Phoenix Park) which he founded in association with Athletics Ireland in 2012.

Frank has been covering the Dublin Marathon since the inaugural event in 1980.

Niamh Tallon

Team Kerr

Team Kerr

Sandra, David and their son Aaron started running together in 2014 and since then have gone on to complete 51 marathons, as well as hundreds of other events, all whilst sharing their message of inclusion. Team Kerr have run in all 32 counties on the island of Ireland, as well as England, Scotland and the USA. At the 2016 Dublin City Marathon they received the Lord Mayors Medal and then in 2022, after a 7 year campaign, they changed a 41-year-old rule to allow assisted runners participation in the London Marathon, becoming the first to officially cross the start line.

They launched their children's book 'Aaron’s Great Big Green Running Machine' in 2022, with the aim of telling Aaron's story and raise awareness among young children about how it is ok to be different.

"Although he might not always show it, and can find it hard to express his feelings, we as parents know that inside, our son is at his happiest with the wind in his hair, and the sun on his face."
